Shantelle Alcindor and Andre Nichol met in the summer of 2005 when they were partnered together as Camp Counselors. They formed a strong connection and became best friends before they officially began dating.
The couple kept to the spirit of that summer when they wed July 6, 2012 in Vaughan, Ontario. The wedding had a vibrant tropical colour theme of blood orange and chocolate brown with gold accents, which highlighted the bride’s bright orange flowers. It’s a little known secret that the wedding flowers, tiger lilies, calla lilies, orchids, gladiolas and roses were all artificial, says the bride.
The couple says their favourite moment was their entrance dance. They entered the banquet room to Tony! Toni! Toné!’s ‘90s hit “Feels Good” and shocked everyone with a mini choreographed routine. It was a perfect entrance for the music loving couple, who kept the dance floor going from 9 pm to 1 am.
Shantelle and Andre say the wedding came together more beautifully than they could have imagined.
